How come sex tends to be a big deal with men?

It's not only a big deal with men and it's not a big deal with all men, though. There are women for whom it's a big deal and men who are celibate or have low libido.

In any case, it's a combination of a number of things. It's much easier for a man to get to a point where he's ready to have sex, and the climax of sex is more intense for men, yet leaves them drained and in need of time to relax or sleep before they do anything else, so from a female perspective (especially from a pre-orgasmic female perspective, not that I'm assuming you are) it can seem like a bigger deal.

Additionally, society has placed most of the concern for unwanted results of sex (pregnancy or STIs/STDs) on women's shoulders, so girls are more likely than boys to put off having sex due to anxieties about unplanned pregnancy and so on.

Finally, there is the deal that girls are not built up to expect orgasm, while for men, sexual interaction isn't over until it's acheived. Because of this, many women are okay with some pleasurable stimulation and that's all, while guys are very uncomfortable if they don't get off. While some people have really good endurance and can get their partner off through oral sex/handjobs alone, it's much easier and more pleasureable to just have sex (from the male perspective) so there's a little pressure to finish that way.

Obviously each guy has his own reasons, some of which he may not even be conciously aware of, but I hope that helps you get a general idea. How come sex tends to be a big deal with men?
Well ...

In all honesty,

- We like it.

- It is our favorite, most significant part of a relationship.

- More than half the time, it's the only reason we went out with the girl. How come sex tends to be a big deal with men?
